The Theft of Handbags
Expensive Handbags are being targeted by criminals as demonstrated by the recent ram raid on Oxford Street’s Selfridges store. Four assailants used a car to smash in to the front of the building then made their getaway with various items using another vehicle.
Whilst this is an extreme case, individuals should be vigilant whilst out and about especially in restaurants and bars. Thieves are quite adept and spotting valuable bags and when they are placed under tables etc. in a busy noisy environment, they are easy to steal.
