Today finally marks the launch of the new Assetsure website, it’s taken a few months to put it all together but we are now ready to go. We have a new design and layout and hopefully we have made it easier for customers to post comments, ask questions, receive information and of course, obtain quotations. We are very pleased with our new site and welcome your feedback; we look forward to hearing from you with your comments.
So what’s different apart from a new layout? Well for one thing Assetsure are now fully authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) who have recently taken over the regulation of our industry in the United Kingdom. This “fully authorised” status gives us more flexibility to arrange insurances and in particular introduce our own branded products which will be underwritten by well-known insurers and Lloyds of London.
As well as the products previously on offer such as; Holiday Homes and Listed Buildings, (some of which are being revamped to give even wider cover) we will shortly be launching some new exciting products to cover insurance for jewellery, watches, fine art and collectable items.
We are really excited about our new covers for jewellery and fine art as unlike the vast majority of other UK insurers; we will be able to insure “single items” on their own without any need to insure the remainder of your home and contents. So now, if you own an expensive watch and that’s all you want to insure, we can probably help you.
Our new policy is ideal for people that perhaps only have a few valuable items to insure or situations where an existing insurer won’t include an item as its value falls outside policy limits. This is sometimes the case with expensive engagement rings or wrist watches, some modern policy wordings have low thresholds for these items leaving a policyholder either without adequate insurance protection or perhaps being forced to purchase a more expensive insurance than is really necessary.
As well as jewellery and watches, we will also be introducing policies to cover fine art and collectables. We will be offering insurance on a worldwide all risks basis and the vast majority of our polices will have no excess to pay in the event of a claim. By insuring your valuable items with Assetsure as opposed to your home insurer, you can possibly obtain wider insurance with a lower excess and help protect your main policies no claims bonus.
We have a very wide definition and what can be insured and whatever valuable item you own or collect, if it needs insuring, we would like to hear from you.
More information will follow in the coming weeks about our new products and we hope you enjoy our new site.
